One study that is currently recruiting patients is evaluating the effects and safety of Mounjaro compared to conventional care with metformin. This study is for patients over the age of 18 who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes within the last 4 years. You must be on at least 1500mg of metformin daily and have been on this dose for at least 3 months. Your BMI needs to be between 25 and 45, and your A1c should be between 7 and 9.5%. Patients will be randomly assigned to either Mounjaro or continue with their current regimen. 📌 For Patients on Trulicity

For patients who have been on a stable dose of Trulicity for at least 6 months, this may be the study for you. This study lasts just under one year and is evaluating the effects and safety of switching patients from Trulicity to Mounjaro. Patients will be randomly assigned to either continue on Trulicity or be switched to Mounjaro. To be eligible for this study, you must be over 18 years old, have a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes, A1c must be between 7.0% and 9.5%, and have a BMI over 25. 📌 For Patients on Trulicity, Ozempic, or Victoza

If you are on a GLP-1 agonist, like Trulicity, Ozempic, or Victoza, you may be eligible for this study. Every patient involved in the study will be taken off of the GLP-1 agonist and started on Mounjaro to compare the changes in A1c with these medications. This is a shorter study, only lasting 3 months. To qualify for this study you must be over 18 years old, have a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes, A1c must be between 6.5% and 9.0%, have a BMI over 25, and have been on a stable dose of one of the GLP-1 agonists for at least 3 months. Patients recruited for this study will get to have an eye exam done, wear a CGM for part of the study, and be reimbursed for their time.
