This study is for people with Type 2 Diabetes and excess weight who are at risk for heart disease or stroke. Participants will add either an investigational once-daily pill or a long-acting insulin to their current diabetes treatment. The study will check how safe and well the investigational medicine works for blood glucose and weight management compared with insulin therapy.
Participants will receive the study med at no charge, and will be compensated for their time and travel.
