Type 2 Diabetes & Extra Weight? See if You Qualify for a Research Study
About The Study
This research study is for those with Type 2 Diabetes and obesity or overweight. The purpose of the study is to see if the study medication called Petrelintide is safe and effective in reducing body weight. Participants will add either a once weekly injection of Petrelintide or placebo. The study is testing three different doses of the medication: 5.0 mg, 7.0 mg, and 9.0 mg.
To take part in the study, participants should be:
- Are aged 18 years or over
- Have Type 2 Diabetes
- Have a BMI of 27 or more
- Being treated with Metformin
What Is a Study?
- A clinical study helps advance the future of diabetes! Research patients try new meds or devices not yet available to the public, at no cost to them.
- Research patients meet with a study coordinator and doctor multiple times to monitor them.
- Each visit, patients are compensated for travel expenses.
- Study patients must meet a list of criteria in order to be a part of a study.
- A study can last anywhere from six months to a few years.
