New Weight Loss Research Study for Adults on Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro, or Zepbound
About The Study
This study is for people who are overweight or have obesity with at least one weight-related health condition and do not have Type 2 Diabetes. People with prediabetes may be eligible. The study is testing an investigational once-weekly injection to see if it is safe and effective for weight reduction. Participants will continue their current medications and receive either the study medication or a placebo.
To take part in the study, participants should:
- Be 18 years of age or olderÂ
- Have a BMI over 27Â
- Have an A1c below 9.0%Â
- Have been taking the same dose of Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro, or Zepbound for at least 4 monthsÂ
- Not have Type 2 Diabetes, or have had it for at least 6 months and are not on insulin.
What Is a Study?
- A clinical study helps advance the future of diabetes! Research patients try new meds or devices not yet available to the public, at no cost to them.
- Research patients meet with a study coordinator and doctor multiple times to monitor them.
- Each visit, patients are compensated for travel expenses.
- Study patients must meet a list of criteria in order to be a part of a study.
- A study can last anywhere from six months to a few years.
