Study for those with or without Type 2 Diabetes - have excess weight & heart disease
About The Study
This study is for people with excess weight who suffer from heart disease, with or without Type 2 Diabetes. Participants will add either an investigational once-weekly injection or a placebo to their current meds. The study will test how safe and well the investigational medicine works for weight management.
To take part in the study, participants should be:
- Have excess weight, with a BMI of 35 or higher
- Have heart disease
- Have not been able to lose body weight on your own
What Is a Study?
- A clinical study helps advance the future of diabetes! Research patients try new meds or devices not yet available to the public, at no cost to them.
- Research patients meet with a study coordinator and doctor multiple times to monitor them.
- Each visit, patients are compensated for travel expenses.
- Study patients must meet a list of criteria in order to be a part of a study.
- A study can last anywhere from six months to a few years.
