Fatty Liver and Type 2 Diabetes? Try a Weekly Injection Study

About The Study

 

This study is for adults diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and fatty liver disease caused by MASH, sometimes called “fatty liver.” It focuses on people with liver cirrhosis due to MASH and aims to test the safety and effectiveness of a once-weekly injection of an investigational medication as a potential treatment.

To take part in the study, participants should be:

  • Diagnosed with MASH (or ‘Fatty Liver’) Cirrhosis.
  • Willing to have a liver biopsy performed.
  • BMI greater than 27
  • A1c less than 10%.

What Is a Study?

  • A clinical study helps advance the future of diabetes! Research patients try new meds or devices not yet available to the public, at no cost to them.
  • Research patients meet with a study coordinator and doctor multiple times to monitor them.
  • Each visit, patients are compensated for travel expenses.
  • Study patients must meet a list of criteria in order to be a part of a study.
  • A study can last anywhere from six months to a few years.
