New research study to compare a weekly insulin and study drug by looking at changes in A1C over the course of the study

About The Study

This study is for patients with Type 2 Diabetes who are currently using medication for treatment, but have not used insulin. The study is looking at adding one of two different investigational long acting insulins to a patient’s current diabetes treatment. The goal of the study is to compare these two long acting insulins by looking at changes in A1C over the course of the study.

Study participants will receive study meds/supplies and compensation for time and travel.

To take part in the study, participants should be:

  • Diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes
  • A1C between 7.0-10.5%
  • Have not used insulin for diabetes treatment

What Is a Study?

  • A clinical study helps advance the future of diabetes! Research patients try new meds or devices not yet available to the public, at no cost to them.
  • Research patients meet with a study coordinator and doctor multiple times to monitor them.
  • Each visit, patients are compensated for travel expenses.
  • Study patients must meet a list of criteria in order to be a part of a study.
  • A study can last anywhere from six months to a few years.
